First ViabilityNet Program Meeting

During the weekend of 24th–26th of September 2011 we had the pleasure of hosting the first meeting of organizations participating in the ViabilityNet program.

This international ViabilityNet program administered by the Via Foundation offers four established capacity-building organization an opportunity to invest in their institutional development, develop a new product for NGOs in their countries and to share know-how gathered throghout the 15 years of post-totalitarian transformation in the CEE region.

The meeting took place in Svatý Jan pod Skalou, a quiet village close to Prague. Participants from Hungary (Nonprofit Információs és Oktató Központ - NIOK), Romania (Association for Community Relations - ARC), Bulgaria (Bulgarian Centre for Not for Profit Law - BCNL), Slovakia (Partners for Democratic Change Slovakia - PDCS) and the Czech Republic (Via Foundation) had the opportunity to get to know each other's work and finalize the format of the program.

Our next meeting will take place at the end of February 2012 in Bratislava and will be organized by Partners for Democratic Change Slovakia. It will revolve around the theme of leadership, executive transition and the challenge of adapting to a changing environment. We wish to thank all participants for their decication, openness and valuable feedback. We are looking forwards to our next meeting in Bratislava and hope the donkey will appear again.
