The Via Foundation announced the winners of the 14th annual Via Bona Awards for Individual and Corporate Philanthropy at an awards ceremony held at the Residence of the United States Ambassador in Prague.

For the first time in the award’s history, the Individual Passion Award was granted to a donor whose engagement comes from the heart.

The winners of the 2011 Via Bona Award in each of the individual categories are:

Individual Passion Award

PhDr. Jaroslav Šturma
For lifetime dedication and professional working for handicapped children and their families.

The Journalists’ Individual Award

Břetislav Tůma
For a long and well thought out philanthropic activities which supports the personal commitment to the development of Opava region.

Long-term Partnership with a Nonprofit

Telefónica Czech Republic, a. s.
For seventeen years of financial, material and technical assistance of the Sdružení Linka bezpečí.

Innovative Projects

LMC
For a comprehensive concept of helping disabled people in finding jobs and its financial and expert support.

Employee Giving and Volunteerism Award

KPMG Czech Republic
For sharing of professional know-how with non-profit organizations workers.

Corporate Award (small- and medium-sized companies)

LAW CZ
For significant support of carefully selected non-profit organizations such as TyfloCentrum Brno, which providing social services for clients with visual impairments.

Corporate Award (large companies)

Vodafone Czech Republic
For the long-term of generous support of the Česká asociace streetwork, which operates in the low-threshold social services.
