The Via Foundation assists people who have taken the initiative to create positive change in their communities.
In cultural heritage, the environment, community development, and youth projects, the means to address clear needs in local communities are blossoming, but are extremely difficult to accomplish due to a lack of funds and experience. Totalitarianism did not allow people the opportunity to exercise individual initiative. Instead, communism attempted to destroy the idea that one person can create positive change in their community. Our donors grant those with the courage to act a chance at success.
Via does not offer charity; we offer possibility. Those with both the potential and the drive must be given an opportunity to succeed.
The Via Foundation's supporters give the opportunity to make a tangible difference on the local and national levels. Since we know that throwing money at issues people face is not enough, we provide both funds for local organizations to accomplish specific projects in their community as well as training and other assistance for non-profit organizations to learn to stand on their own.
Creating partnerships to rebuild and improve upon communities is the key to success. In other words, Via and our donors not only help rebuild communities, we assist in building community.
